About Me

Hello! My name is Jessica Puente. I am a senior at UTEP majoring in EC-6 Generalist. I

have two beautiful daughters Alyssa (10) and Kaitlynn (5) and I am married. I love spending every minute I can with them I like to travel, watch movies, play board games, bake, and dance with my girls. My expectations for this class is to learn different ways and when to implement technology into the classroom. Once Covid-19 hit the use of technology was the only source to educate students. So, I would like to learn how we could keep the students in engaged through computer in case of any other reason school needs to be online again. Technology could be very useful for grade or content but I would use it for Social Studies for 4th graders to do virtual trips. For instance, if my lesson is about learning about The Alamo we would take a virtual field trip and/or watch any movies that will teach them more about it. They would be able to research any information needed for research paper. I would also incorporate some fun activities for them online Kahoot or Quizlet. Overall, technology is a big source of our lives and there are many different ways to incorporate it to lesson plans or for other sources that will be educational. for students.
