Presentation Tool

As a teacher, I will integrate Canva has one of my tools for technology for students to create a presentation for one of my lessons for any content. Canva has a lot of tools that the teachers and students can use for their presentations. Canva could be used in any grade, but I would use it in my fourth-grade class to present to them our math lesson on fractions. I can create an interactive presentation that will illustrate everything that I need on my lesson such as videos, examples, and their assignment. The ISTE I would use for teachers is 2.5c to explore and apply instructional design principles to create innovative digital learning environments that engage and support learning. Using a slide presentation could be helpful for students because it will help them to use the presentation tool and it will help them for their future education years. Technology is becoming a big part of our lives and education the more the students can learn the better. Having students do a slide presentation will help the students to be more creative because they need to design their presentation and there are several designs to choose from. If it’s a group project to create a slide presentation it will them communicate and they would collaborate within their group. The advantage of students using any type of presentation slides is that it will help them learn how to create slides since it’s something they are using now from some teachers and will continue to use all the way to college. There could be some disadvantages of using this technology tool is that it’s not for every student they might find it difficult to work with or if they need to do an assignment and they don’t have internet they won’t be able to work on their assignment.
