Introduction:

After learning and gathering informational about our favorite animal or an animal we would like to learn about we will use our information to create a story book.

The students will learn what an informational text/book is. The teacher will

present a video to the class about informational text. Then the teacher will

show them an example of an informational book.

Process:

  1. Teacher will be demonstrating an example of what an informational book looks like.

  2. Then will show them a video about understanding informational text.

  3. Students will get their mind map and poster back from their teacher to use that information for their story book.

  4. The students will have the choice from Storyjumper, Little Bird Tales or My Story Book to create their book.

  5. Teacher will demonstrate how to use each of the technology tool.

  6. Students will be submitting their book on Google Classroom.

Evaluation:

  • knowledge about their animal

  • Creativity on their story book

  • Using correct punctuation and using complete sentences.
