WebQuest

As for me working on the WebQuest was a challenge for me in trying to think in how one subject could go coherent with another subject. Even though it was difficult for me I liked that one topic could be taught into several subjects. For instance: my Web Quest was on habitat and adaptation in animals and with that one topic I was able to extend my Science lesson into Social Studies and ELAR for a third-grade class. The ISTE for Teachers that could be used for this type of lesson is all of them but the one I chose is 2.5 designer because the teacher will be creating the lesson and the activities. As for the ISTE for students in this specific WebQuest would be 1.3 knowledge constructor and 1.4 innovative designer because the student will be listening to the teacher lesson. Once they understand what the teacher instructed the student will need to complete the assignment that the teacher assigned to the students. Depending on the assignment that the teacher is assigning for the students it may consist of all the six c’s of education but for the ones that I had chosen for my WebQuest is creativity for creating the story book, just as critical thinking, and collaboration will need to be used to create the book. Students will need to be creative, and it could be helpful some collaboration from other students while our discussion to get a better understanding on the lesson. The disadvantage of working with WebQuest is that it might be difficult to collaborate the different subjects into one topic. The advantage of teachers using WebQuest is if the lessons go with one another the students will have a better understanding of the topic being taught to the students. Especially introducing different technology activities.
